BLOOMINGTON, Ind.-- The men of Miami University's cross country team faced off against Indiana, Columbia, George Washington, Georgetown, North Carolina, Northern Arizona, Ohio, South Dakota, and Vanderbilt this weekend at the Coaching Tree Invitational. The women of Miami's cross country team ran against the same schools as well as Elon and Villanova. The men's teams ran the 8k and the women's teams ran the 6k.
The Miami men finished in fourth place out of 10 teams with 88 points. The Miami women finished in 11th place out of 12 programs with 267 points.
How It Happened:
- For the men, Obsaa Feda finished 12th overall with a time of 24:07.7. Max Polak came in 14th place with a time of 24:17.7, setting a new personal best in the 8k. Jake Bertelsen finished in 16th place with a time of 24:19.1, Mhalicki Bronson came in 21st place with a time of 24:28.8, and Patrick Wills came in 26th with a time of 24:42.2) in his first race wearing the Red and White.
- The women were led by Ava Nuttall, who finished in 17th overall with a time of 20:50.6. Julia Rushing finished in 44th place with a time of 21:44.3. Next was Jenna Sayle in 67th with a time of 22:25.8. Hanna Lippincott (23:13.7) and Gianna Labbiento (23:15.4) finished in 84th and 85th, respectively.
