ATHENS, Ohio – Three different RedHawks scored in double figures on Wednesday night but it wasn't enough as the Miami University women's basketball team (8-20, 4-15 MAC) dropped a 73-64 decision to the Ohio Bobcats at the Convocation Center. Peyton Scott had a game-high 23 points, while Ivy Wolf added 16 and Maddi Cluse chipped in with 12. Cece Hooks led the Bobcats (15-12, 9-9 MAC) with 23 points.

How it Happened:

Ohio raced out to a 20-7 advantaged with four minutes left in the opening quarter. Back-to-back triples from Cluse and Scott made it 20-13 and Miami trailed 24-18 after 10 minutes of play.
An old-fashioned three-point play from Scott gave Miami a 35-34 lead with 30 seconds to play in the first half, but a late triple from OU, sent the Bobcats to the locker room, leading 37-35.
Both defenses played well in the third quarter as the Bobcats went into the fourth quarter up 53-47.
Ohio led 64-54 midway through the fourth before Cluse rattled off five quick points to cut the deficit in half, but the RedHawks could get no closer.

Game Notes:

Scott had her fourth double-double of the season, finishing with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
Cluse scored in double figures (12 points) for the first time since scoring 12 at Ball State on Jan. 24.
Wolf matched her career-high with three steals.
