RedHawks Drop 83-61 Decision at Kent State

KENT, Ohio – The Miami University women's basketball team dropped an 83-61 decision on Monday evening at Kent State at the MAC Center. Peyton Scott led Miami (7-13, 3-8 MAC) with 16 points, six rebounds and six assists, while Nila Blackford's 22 points and nine rebounds were best for the Golden Flashes (13-7, 5-6 MAC).

How it Happened:
- Edyn Battle and Scott each had four points in the first quarter, but the Golden Flashes led 20-14 after 10 minutes of play.
- A pair of free throws from Scott made it 24-20 KSU with 7:19 left in the second, but the Flashes ended the quarter on a 16-8 run and led 40-28 at the half.
- Battle's layup made it 42-35 early in the third. That's as close as Miami got heading to the final stanza, trailing 62-50.
- Kent State opened the fourth quarter on a 7-2 run to put the game out of reach.
Game Notes:
- Tajah Foster-Walker had a career-high 11 rebounds, including eight offensive boards. Foster-Walker added two blocks.
- Kent State was 25-of-28 from the foul line, while the RedHawks were 5-of-6.
