RedHawks Finish Second and Third in the Flag City Open

FINDLAY, Ohio— The RedHawks had a strong showing all around at Findlay University, as the Miami track and field teams had several first-place finishes during the indoor competition on Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The RedHawks continue their indoor season at the Alex Wilson Invitational in South Bend, Ind. on Saturday, February 19.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Sean Delany took first place in the men's 60-meter hurdles finals with a time of 8.42. He finished first against eight competitors.
- In the 60-meter dash, Julian Wagner captured second with a time of 6.97. Wagner also finished first place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.64.
- On the field, Dawson Wervey competed in the triple jump, finishing in first with a jump of 14.44m. Ryan Smith was the top RedHawk in the shot put, clearing a distance of 17.25m to finish in first.
- In the women's weight throw, Sydney Jefferson captured second with a throw of 18.68m. Elise Walker tied for first in the women's high jump with a jump of 1.65m. Elle Miller captured first plan in the women's long jump with a distance of 5.49m.
- Overall, the women's team finished third and the men's team finished second in the meet.
The RedHawks continue their indoor season at the Alex Wilson Invitational in South Bend, Ind. on Saturday, February 19.
