Miami Senior Leads Porter Classic After Short Program

Ann Arbor, Mich.—The Miami University senior synchronized skating team got off to another strong start with a clean short program skate at the 26th Annual Porter Classic. Miami registered a season-best short program score of 67.39 and leads the senior field.

UP NEXT:
The RedHawk senior team returns to the ice for the free skate at approximately 8:15 p.m. on Saturday night to round out their competition at the Porter Classic. Miami's collegiate team closes out the event for the RedHawks, competing among a 10-team field on Sunday at approximately 11:25 a.m.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Miami notched a score of 67.39 with a total element score of 35.72 and a total component score of 31.67 for its short program.
- The RedHawks lead the senior division with a nearly 11-point advantage over second-place Adrian College (56.43) heading into Saturday's free skate event.
