Wolf, Waldron Named Miami Athletes of the Week

For their performances last week, Ivy Wolf and John Waldron are Miami's Athletes of the Week, presented by Skyline Chili for the week of Dec. 12.

Female Winner: Ivy Wolf
Ivy Wolf led Miami Women's Basketball with 20 points in a career-high 39 minutes Sunday at Northern Kentucky. Wolf shot 42.1% from the floor (8-19), 50% from behind the arc (2-4), and 100% at the foul line (2-2). She added four rebounds, three assists and one steal. The Minster, Ohio native is majoring in both Kinesiology and Sports Leadership and Management in the College of Education, Health and Society.

Male Winner: John Waldron
John Waldron produced the first hat trick by a Miami Hockey player in nearly seven years Friday night, matching the program record for goals in a period with three in the second frame against St. Cloud State. He followed that up with a goal and an assist Saturday as Miami upset the No. 4 Huskies 5-0 for the RedHawks' first victory over a top-five team since 2018. Smith is a freshman Sport Leadership and Management major in the College of Education, Health and Society from Batavia, Ill.
