After one day of competition, the Miami University swimming and diving teams found themselves in the lead in their visiting meet against Indiana State and Missouri State. The women's team finished ahead against both rivals, going 102-65 against Indiana State and 101-65 against Missouri State. The men will similarly enter day two on top, leading Missouri State 112-65.

How It Happened:
- Day one's events kicked off with the 400 medley relay. Owen Blazer, Adrian Dulay, Henju Duvenhage and Jack Herczeg led the Miami men's A relay team to victory, earning a combined time of 3:14.61. For the women's A relay team, Angelina Cakuls, Sara Lahrach-Sanchez, Honor Brodie-Foy and Greta Kolbeck took second with a combined time of 3:43.34.
- Maier and Duvenhage each picked up two first place individual finishes. Maier scored hers for the women's team in the 500 freestyle (4:41.87) and 200 butterfly (1:58.38) while Duvenhage's came for the men in the 200 IM (1:46.94) and 200 butterfly (1:45.93).
- Brodie-Foy gave the women's team a win in the 100 freestyle, finishing with a time of 50.88. The men's team saw other first place finishes from Dulay in the 100 breaststroke (55.33), Blazer in the 200 backstroke (1:48.36) and Herczeg in the 100 freestyle (45.12).
- Uros Djokovic took second in the men's 500 freestyle (4:30.59), as did Kolbeck in the women's 500 (4:48.23). Also finishing runner-up for the RedHawks were Cakuls in the 200 backstroke (2:00.65) and Erin Szczupakiewicz in the 200 butterfly (2:01.42).
- Audrey Conley (4:56.09) and Yonatan Rosin (4:31.31) both found third in their respective 500 freestyle races, as did Julia Waechter (51.07) and Matt Fetterman (46.33) in the 100 freestyle. Third place finishes were also earned by Blazer in the 200 IM (1:51.97), Zach Bann in the 200 backstroke (1:49.93) and Cotton in the 200 butterfly (1:50.19).
- Closing out the day's swimming events was the 200 freestyle relay, where both A relay teams came out on top. For the women, Waechter, Maier, Brodie-Foy and Kolbeck rallied to pick up a combined time of 1:32.62, while the men had Pedro Gueiros, Fetterman, Mason Miller and Herczeg to bring in a combined time of 1:22.06.
- In the first day's diving events, Sydney Rice and Jackson Miller both topped the podium, Rice in the 3 meter dive (297.35) and Miller in the 1 meter dive (288.80). Nora Kowalski put up 253.15 points for the runner-up position in the 3 meter, while Victor Hearn (278.90) and David Burke (269.90) rounded out the 1 meter.
