IRVINE, Calif.—Hitting the 200-point mark in its first competition of the season, the Miami University senior synchronized skating team finished second among a strong five-team field at the Synchro Fall Classic on Saturday. The RedHawks amassed a free skate score of 133.92 and finished with a total score of 200.00 for the competition.

The RedHawk collegiate team will be in action at the Kalamazoo Kickoff Classic Nov. 19-20, and both teams return to the ice for the Dr. Porter Classic Dec. 2-4.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Skating fourth in the five-team field, Miami had a clean skate and notched a technical element score of 68.44 and a program component score of 65.48 to earn a score of 133.92 for its free skate program.
- With its competition score of 200.00, Miami finished second to the Haydenettes (210.93).
- Miami bested the third-place Skyliners (183.32) by more than 16 points.
- Team Elite (182.05) and Adrian College (150.82) rounded out the senior division field, respectively.
