Miami and Toledo Battle to 0-0 Draw

TOLEDO, Ohio – On Sunday afternoon, the Miami University's women's soccer team (7-3-5, 3-1-4 Mid-American Conference) tied the University of Toledo (2-7-6, 1-3-4 MAC) 0-0 on the road.

The RedHawks will pay a visit to Bowling Green State University on Thursday, Oct. 20 for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- At the 21st minute mark, junior Camber Hayes played a short corner to freshman Caroline Palmer. The striker beat an opponent and attempted a shot but it was wide.
- In the 35th minute, freshman Norah Roush came close to the opening goal with a towering header following a corner kick. Her attempt was blocked and cleared on the goal line.
- Ten minutes into the second half, sophomore Sophia Cross troubled Toledo with a close-range shot. The Toledo goalkeeper punched the attempt into the left post but then recovered before the ball could roll past the goal line.
- At the 72nd minute mark, sophomore Makenna Morrison's attempt from inside of the penalty box left the Toledo goalkeeper rooted in place but the ball came off the right post.
NOTES:
- Palmer was handed her 10th start of the season, her first since Miami's matchup against Ohio University.
- The RedHawks outshot the Rockets by eight to three in the first half and 18-5 over the length of the game.
- Izzie Vaccari broke her own career-high six shutouts, collecting her eighth of the season for a total of 18.
