RedHawk Synchronized Skating Announces 2022-23 Domestic Competitive Schedule

OXFORD, Ohio—Coming off the program's 20th collegiate national title and the senior team's 13th berth to the World Championships and best finish at the event since 2007, Miami University synchronized skating and head coach Carla DeGirolamo have announced the RedHawks' 2022-23 domestic competitive schedule and exhibition dates.
Miami's senior team will begin the competitive season at the Synchronized Fall Classic in Irvine, Calif., Nov. 11-12. The RedHawk Collegiate team takes to the ice for the first time competitively the following week at the Kalamazoo Kickoff Classic Nov. 19-20 in Kalamazoo, Mich. Both teams will compete at the annual Dr. Porter Classic Dec. 2-4 in Ann Arbor, Mich.
As the calendar year turns, Miami's collegiate team returns to the ice for the Midwestern Championships Jan. 28 in Rockford, Ill. The collegiate team then heads to the Tri State Competition Feb. 19 in Bowling Green, Ohio. Both teams then turn their attention to the U.S. National Synchronized Skating Championships March 3-4 in Peoria, Ill.
International events will be announced at a later time.
Prior to the start of the season, the RedHawks will host their annual fall exhibition at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22 to preview their competitive programs. Miami also will host its Nationals Send-Off Exhibition at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26 in a final performance in Oxford prior to the U.S. National Championships. Both exhibitions will be in Steve "Coach" Cady Arena and are free and open to the public!
Additionally, the RedHawk senior team is scheduled to skate during an intermission at the Friday, Oct. 28 and Saturday, Feb. 18 Miami Hockey games, while the collegiate team is slated to showcase its program during an intermission at the Friday, Nov. 11 and Friday, Feb. 17 Miami Hockey games.
