LOUISVILLE, Ky.-- The men and women of Miami University's cross country team competed in the Live in Louisville Cross Country Classic this weekend. The women's team ran the 5k along with 40 other schools, and the men's team ran the 8k along with 30 other schools.
The RedHawks had a very strong performance across the board, as the men finished in third place with 146 points while the Miami women finished in eighth place with a total of 319 points.
How It Happened:
- For the men, Obsaa Feda finished in eighth place with a time of 23:36.3, setting a new PR for the 8k. Charlie Harders (24:06.2) and Jake Bertelsen (24:07) finished in 28th and 29th place respectively, both setting new PRs for the 8k. Mhalicki Bronson (24:11.9) finished in 37th place, and Max Polak came in 48th with a time of 24:18.9.
- The women were led by Carmen Riano, who came in third place overall with a time of 16:42.6, 0.3 seconds off her time from the same meet in 2021. Ava Nuttall (17:21.1) finished in 32nd place. Julia Rushing (17:44.8) came in 61st while setting a PR for the 5k. Jenna Sayle (17:59.6) came in 85th and Lotti Roemer (18:25.8) came in 138th.
