OXFORD, Ohio – Despite a 32-point effort from junior Peyton Scott and a career day by Tajah Foster Walker, the Miami University women's basketball team dropped an 80-69 decision to Eastern Michigan on Saturday afternoon at Millett Hall. Scott added a game-high 10 rebounds for the RedHawks (6-11, 2-6 MAC) and Arenna Combs led the Eagles (5-11, 2-7 MAC) with 29 points.

How it Happened:
- A Peyton Scott triple gave Miami and early 5-2 advantage before EMU answered with a 15-0 run. Miami scored the final four points of the first quarter to trail 17-9.
- Miami cut the deficit to 17-12, but an 11-2 run stretched EMU's advantage to 28-14 midway through the second quarter. A Jordan Tuff triple, followed by two free throws from Edyn Battle and another three-pointer from Scott moved the RedHawks into striking distance, 28-22. The Eagles led 35-28 at the half.
- A three-point play from Scott to open the second half and five points in a span of 30 seconds from Ivy Wolf moved Miami to within one, 37-36 with 7:38 left in the third. Scott scored the final 10 points of the quarter for the Red and White, but the Eagles led 51-46 heading to the fourth.
- The Eagles scored the first seven points of the final stanza to take a 12 point advantage, 58-46. Three straight buckets from Foster-Walker and a straight-away triple from Scott brought Miami to within 63-57. Miami trailed 65-57 with 4:09 to play.
- Scott's coast-to-coast score and Battle's three-straight buckets knotted the score 65-65 with 2:34 to go but EMU answered with nine straight to secure the victory.
Game Notes:
- Peyton Scott finished the contest with 32 points, her sixth career game with 30-plus points. Scott added 10 rebounds for her third double-double of the season.
- Tajah Foster-Walker had a career-high nine points and five blocks. She added eight boards.
