RedHawks Compete at Day One of Jim Green Invitational

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Miami University track and field started off the new year successfully with day one of the Jim Green Invitational.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The RedHawks continue to race at the Jim Green Invitational tomorrow, with the first event for day two scheduled for a noon start in Lexington.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Miami had plenty of good performances in this meet. Ava Nuttall put together a win in the 5000-meter race, running a 17:16.57 for the title. Jacob Ranker also had a good day for the 'Hawks on the track, taking second in the 60-meter hurdles prelims with a time of 8.23, just .49 seconds behind the lead runner.
- Sydney Jefferson had a good day on the weight throw in the field events, with a 18.02-meter throw to finish in fourth. Addison Hoover placed seventh in the weight throw for the 'Hawks, with a 16.65-meter throw in the competitive field.
The RedHawks continue to race at the Jim Green Invitational tomorrow, with the first event for day two scheduled for a noon start in Lexington.
