How it Happened:
- Cincinnati opened the contest scoring touchdowns on their first three drives to take an early 21-0 lead.
- Two different RedHawk drives stalled inside Cincinnati territory in the first half as the Bearcats took a 35-0 lead into the locker room.
- Following a muffed punt by UC midway through the third quarter the RedHawks once again marched into UC territory behind a 14-yard catch from Jack Sorenson. The drive stalled and the RedHawks once again turned the ball over on downs.
- Miami used a strong rushing attack throughout the third quarter, led by freshmen Keyon Mozee and Kevin Davis. Mozee converted a first down at the UC 16-yard line but once again the offense could get no closer.
- The Bearcats added 14 points in the fourth quarter.
- In the fourth quarter Freshman Kenny Tracy and Freshman John Saunders Jr. scored their first career touchdowns. Â
- Sam Vaughan, Reid Holskey, Tracy and Kevin Davis all made the first starts of their career.
- Sterling Weatherford recorded his third career interception early in the third quarter.
- Mozee led the way in rushing, recording 80 yards on 15 carries.
- Tracy had his first career rushing touchdown and Saunders Jr. recorded a pick-six for his first career score.

Miami travels to face the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Saturday, Sept. 11. Opening kickoff is slated for noon.
