RedHawks Seize Victory In OT Against Central Michigan

OXFORD, Ohio – In a pivotal battle, the Miami University women's soccer team (4-2-3) won against Central Michigan University (3-4-0) in overtime at Bobby Kramig Field on Thursday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The RedHawks will be on the road to play Eastern Michigan University at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 26.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The RedHawks came out shooting, pitching eight shots with five on-goal in the first half. Although Miami couldn't finish, the game remained scoreless at the half.
- Miami and Central Michigan kept the intensity in the second half of the game, finalizing regulation 0-0.
- Makenna Morrison scored the golden goal for the RedHawks, earning Miami's first OT win in the season.
- Haley Anspach assisted in the winning goal for Miami, making it her third assist on the year.
- Izzie Vaccari had three saves in the RedHawks OT win, adding another clean sheet for her this season (5).
The RedHawks will be on the road to play Eastern Michigan University at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 26.
