Cleveland, Ohio - In an exhilarating battle against Cleveland State University, the Miami University women's soccer team posted a 2-2 double overtime tie at Krenzler Field on Thursday evening.

The RedHawks will return home to play Bellarmine University at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept 9.

HOW IT HAPPENED:Â Â
- In the first half of the game, Miami put up six shots (two on-goal) and one goal scored by Desiree Grubbs at the 27:05 mark, putting Miami up 1-0.
- At the end of the first half (42:55), CSU battled back and scored, making it a 1-1 draw.
- In the second half, Kylee Beinecke scored with an assist from Jaimie Tottleben at the 69:09 mark; putting the RedHawks in the lead, 2-1.
- At the 70-minute mark, CSU scored again to tie it upÂ
- Izzie Vaccari had three saves in the double OT tie for the RedHawksÂ
- Miami fired 17 shots at goal (six on-goal) with two goals in Thursday's match.
- Kristina DeMarco had an assist on Grubbs goal at the 27:05 mark.
