Minneapolis, Minn – The Miami University men's golf team finished day one of the Gopher Invitational in eighth place after carding a 36-hole score of 578. A pair of RedHawks finished tied for 11th overall, just three shots off the lead.

How It Happened:
- Danny Fisher fired the lowest round of the day for the RedHawks, carding a 68 in round one and followed it up with a 72 in round two, placing him at a two under 140 through 36 holes.
- Jack Ebner finished in a tie for first among the RedHawks, also carding a 140 through two rounds, including a two under 69 in his first round.
- Rounding things out for the RedHawks were Jack Herceg (76-74—150), Sam Mortell (75-75—150) and Scott Bitar (74-77—151).
