EVANSTON, Ill. – The Miami University field hockey team dropped a 6-2 decision on Sunday afternoon to the No. 4 Northwestern University Wildcats.

How it Happened:
- After a scoreless 15 minutes of action, Miami's Morgan Sturm gathered in a rebound and snuck it past the Northwestern goalkeeper for a 1-0 RedHawks advantage early in the second quarter.
- The Wildcats scored five minutes later off of a penalty corner to knot the score at one apiece.
- NU took a 2-1 lead late in the first half, converting a goal off of a rebound.
- Northwestern added two more goals early in the third before Claudia Negrete Garcia scored off a penalty corner to close within 4-2.
- The Wildcats added one final goal in the third and another in the fourth for the 6-2 final tally.
