
Porter Named Assistant Vice President of Development, Associate Athletic Director

Brad Bundy, Miami University's Senior Associate Vice President of Advancement, has announced that Dr. Jeff Porter has been named Assistant Vice President of Development, Associate Athletic Director.
"Following a national search, I am thrilled to announce that Dr. Jeff Porter will be joining the Miami family.", said Bundy. "His many years of experience and accomplishments at the University of Michigan and beyond will serve Intercollegiate Athletics and University Advancement very well. Jeff will focus his efforts on raising private support for athletic initiatives, particularly scholarship support for our student-athletes and funds to support our program priorities. We are so pleased to welcome Jeff and his family to Miami."
Porter comes to Oxford, Ohio after spending the last decade at the University of Michigan, serving as the Director of Student-Athlete Alumni Relations; Premium Seating Associate & Major Gift Officer since 2017. He added track and field/cross country oversite in 2019. During his time with the Wolverines he was responsible for generating $4.5 to $5 million from the Premium Suite Program at Michigan Stadium and managing all athletic department alumni events, communications, and programs available for the student-athlete alums.

Porter has also spent time as a Special Project Coordinator (2016-17), Assistant Director, Alumni Engagement (2012-16), Assistant Academic Counselor for football and men's lacrosse (2010-12) and an Assistant Strength Coach (2007-08)
A former Michigan student-athlete himself, Jeff competed at the London 2012 & Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games in the men's 110m hurdles. During his collegiate career, Porter was the 2007 NCAA Champion, three-time NCAA All-American, three-time Big Ten Champion, and was the recipient of the Big Ten Medal of Honor in 2007.
Porter completed his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at Eastern Michigan University in August of 2017.
