Senior Team Off to Strong Start at Porter Classic

ANN ARBOR, Mich.—Posting a season-high score for its short program, the Miami University senior synchronized skating team got off to a strong start at the Dr. Richard Porter Classic on Friday evening. The RedHawks sit in first place heading into Saturday's free skate event.

The RedHawk senior team returns to action Saturday evening for the free skate portion of the Dr. Richard Porter Classic. The Miami collegiate synchronized skating team will be in action at the event on Sunday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The RedHawks had a clean skate and amassed a short program score of 69.12 in their third competition of the season.
- Miami's short program score bettered its previous season best by 2.23 points.
- Miami holds almost an eight-point lead on the second-place Crystallettes (61.13) and a nearly a 15-point advantage over third-place Adrian College (54.40).
