Kemba Credit Union Joins Miami Athletics and Alumni Association

Miami University Athletics and the Miami University Alumni Association announced on Thursday afternoon that Kemba Credit Union would be the official credit union partner of both parties. This multi-year agreement, which provides additional visibility to Kemba, will be mutually beneficial to the local community, specifically to Butler County and southwest Ohio, in four key areas.
Van Wagner, manager of Miami University Athletics multimedia rights, assisted in the negotiations of this agreement.
Financial Literacy and Access to Financial Products and Services
Kemba will have vast access to alums in an effort to provide financial literacy/webinars. Not only will Kemba have the ability to provide financial products to those in need, this agreement also provides Miami with the tools necessary in an ever-changing climate.
"This is an exciting opportunity for Miami alumni," said Kim Tavares, Associate Vice President and Executive Director of the Miami University Alumni Association. "Alumni will have access to the same customer-focused suite of financial products and services that Kemba offers to its members. Alumni will also benefit from the educational component of this collaboration in virtual programming and in-person events."
Help Small Businesses
Kemba Credit Union, which serves more than 112,000 members and over 900 companies in the Greater Cincinnati area, will now be able to highlight many of these partnerships through the marketing horsepower of Miami University Athletics and the Miami University Alumni Association. This opportunity will aid in generating awareness for local small businesses and highlight the opportunity for other businesses in the community to grow with the help of Kemba Credit Union.
Highlight Good in the Community
Kemba strives to be an active partner in the community and with Miami University Athletics and the Alumni Association's help, Kemba will continue to support philanthropic initiatives in the Greater Cincinnati Area. Kemba currently participates in multiple public service activities throughout the year including The Freestore Foodbank Rubber Duck Regatta, Kemba's Annual Golf Outing that contributes to the Cincinnati Fire Foundation as well as donating to local organizations and charities through their Community Outreach Committee. This initiative will look to build on an already strong relationship between the local community, Miami University and Kemba Credit Union.
