Lindsay Sparks, Assistant AD and Chief Athletic Marketing and Communications Officer, announced that Allie Clayboss has been named Assistant Director of News, Data and Information.
"I would like to thank the entire search committee for this opportunity to join the RedHawk community," said Clayboss. "It has been a pleasure to meet many staff members and coaches through this interview process. Miami has always been a college that stood out to me for their excellent academics and athletics. I am extremely excited to get started with the amazing team, connect with Miami student-athletes and to make an impact on the sports culture in Oxford!"
Prior to joining the RedHawks, Clayboss was an Athletic Communications Assistant at Union College in New York for the past year. There she handled all communication for four different programs, including women's ice hockey, soccer, swimming and softball. She also implemented new graphics for web and social media.
"Allie brings a significant amount of energy and enthusiasm to our Miami Athletics team," said Sparks. "She is passionate about the industry, working with student-athletes and coaches and creating content that fans are eager to engage with."Â
Before joining Union, Clayboss spent three years at the University of Maine as a student assistant for the athletics marketing and communications office for the Black Bears. During her time at Maine, she worked with the football, ice hockey, basketball, baseball, and field hockey programs. She assisted with the in-game promotions and marketing campaigns for the 2018 national semifinalist football program and the women's basketball program that reached the NCAA Tournament in 2018 and 2019.
Clayboss spent two years as a member of the promotions team for the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League.Â
A native of Austin, Texas, Clayboss earned her Bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Maine in 2019.Â
