Full Squad Hosts Xavier on Saturday for Senior Day

The RedHawks and Musketeers compete at 1 p.m. with the senior recognition happening before the meet.
OXFORD, Ohio – The Miami University swimming and diving team hosts Xavier on Saturday for senior day. The meet begins at 1 p.m. and senior recognition will take place before the meet.
Both the Miami men and women began the semester with a dual meet win at Cleveland State on January 7. The women won by a 223-77 margin while the men won by a 162-136 margin. Most recently, the RedHawk women beat Mid-American Conference foe Bowling Green by a 200-100 margin on January 18.
Miami won 11 of the 16 events during the meet, sweeping the podium six times. Camila Lins de Mello led the RedHawks with three individual event wins and swam a leg on the winning 400 free relay. Lins de Mello was named MAC Swimmer of the Week for her performance against the Falcons.
The Xavier men and women began 2020 with dual meet wins at Bellarmine with the men winning by a 183-79 margin and the women by a 195-61 margin. The Musketeers fell to Cincinnati in a dual meet on January 17. The women lost by a 208-83 margin and the men by a 223-70 margin. Last week, the Xavier men finished with the top team score at the Butler Invite while the Xavier women finished second. The Musketeers travel to IUPUI for a dual meet this Friday before traveling to Oxford.
