
Miami Concludes Opening Weekend with Relays

The RedHawks competed against Michigan and Navy on Saturday morning.
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Miami University swimming and diving team wrapped up its opening weekend's competition with long-course relays and sprints on Saturday morning. The morning's events were not scored.
In the 200 medley relay, Cole Grosshans, Noah Barr, Nic Wamsley and Nick Ward were the top men's time (1:47.68). Herb, Sam Sutton, Justinak and Ehlers were third (2:02.48) among the women's teams.
In the 200 free relay, Ward, Grosshans, Ben Chatwin and Wamsley finished second (1:36.72) while the Miami women finished fourth (1:53.23) with a team of Anna Justinak, Caroline Ehlers, Bryanna Renuart and Izzy Herb.
Alyssa Schroeder, Hannah Fuchs, Ashlyn Underhill and Camila Lins de Mello finished fifth in the 800 medley relay (10:08.15). Ryan Wagner, James McGuire, Spencer Klinsky and Gordon Wheeler finished sixth for the men (9:16.29).
In the 400 free relay, Molly Zilch, Underhill, Hunter Scott and Lins de Mello finished second (4:02.17). The top Miami men's team (Chatwin, Wheeler, Ward and Wamsley) was fourth (3:43.16).
Herb, Fuchs, Bri Alexander and Ehlers finished sixth for the women in the 400 medley relay (4:37.98). Wagner, Barr, Klinsky and Grosshans were third for the men (4:02.57).
In the 800 free relay, Underhill, Lins de Mello, Zilch and Emma Bradley finished third (8:54.59) for the women and Wheeler, Matt Fetterman, Austin Theobald and Brandon Crist were fourth (8:23.41) for the men.
In the 50 fly, Wamsley finished third (26.00) on the men's side and Justinak finished fifth (29.54) on the women's side.
Lins de Mello was third overall (31.38) in the 50 back for the women while Grosshans finished fourth (28.24) for the men.
In the 50 breast, Sutton was the runner up (34.56) on the women's side and Barr was fourth (30.54) on the men's side.
Ehlers was the runner up in the 50 free (27.26) while Ward was seventh (24.52).
