OXFORD, Ohio – The 2019 Major League Baseball draft concluded on Wednesday. For Miami, junior pitcher Spencer Mraz was drafted in the 33rd round (985th overall) by the Texas Rangers.
Mraz was Miami's regular Saturday starter in 2019. In 15 appearances (13 starts) He was 5-6 with a  4.03 ERA and 72 strikeouts in 76.0 innings pitched. The highlight of his season was a 7.1 inning performance against Bowling Green when he allowed only one hit and struck out a career-high 13 batters. Mraz has a 3.92 ERA in 48 appearances during his three-year RedHawk career.
