Miami will return to action tomorrow morning.
NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Miami University track and field team continued its indoor season Friday with the first day of competition at Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational.
In women's results, the Miami distance medley relay team of Rachel Kotchman, Faith Baxter, Emma Bryant, and Emma Mashburn combined to run a 11:54.02 over the 4000m to take fourth place overall. In the 5000m, Katie Vitou scored a new personal record with a 17:33.32 time. In prelims for the 60m hurdles prelims, Sarah Bruns just barely missed on a spot in the finals with a 9.19.
For the RedHawk men, Aaron Muresan qualified for the semis of the 60m hurdles with a fifth-place finish in the prelims, running a 8.13. Jeremiah Hunter did the same in the 60m dash, taking fourth with a 6.83. Over in the 200m, Hunter and Luke Finnegan each took top ten spots.
