Hannah Fuchs Named MAC Swimmer of the Week

Fuchs won three individual events as Miami beat Buffalo on Saturday.
CLEVELAND – The Mid-American Conference announced the weekly swimming and diving awards on Thursday. Senior Hannah Fuchs was named MAC Female Swimmer of the Week for the first time in her career.
Fuchs led Miami to a dual meet win against Buffalo last weekend with three individual event wins. Fuchs swept the breaststroke events, winning both the 100 breast (1:04.23) and 200 breast (2:17.84). She added an event win in the 200 IM (2:04.76) and also swam the 200 medley relay. In the 200 breast, Fuchs beat the field by 4.5 seconds and outswam the competition by more than two seconds in the 200 IM. She ranks second in the MAC in both of these events and is fourth in the 100 breast. Nationally, Fuchs is 37th in the 200 IM and 45th in the 200 breast.
