Miami Women Face Eastern Michigan in Ypsilanti

The RedHawk women are coming off of a second-place team finish at the Zip Classic.
OXFORD, Ohio – The Miami University women's swimming and diving team travels to Ypsilanti, Michigan to face Eastern Michigan on Saturday at 2 p.m. for a dual meet.
Last weekend, the Miami men won the Zip Classic in a field of four teams with 1142.5 points and the Miami women finished second among five teams with 1053 points. On Friday, the RedHawks broke four meet records, courtesy of Gordon Wheeler, Cole Grosshans and two by Camila Lins de Mello. On Saturday, the RedHawk men set seven meet records and the women set three. The Miami men and women combined for 17 event wins on the weekend.
Eastern Michigan opened the 2019-20 season last weekend with a quad meet hosted by Buffalo. Bowling Green and Cornell also competed in the quad meet. The Eagles totaled 14 top-three finishes during the meet. Last season, Eastern Michigan finished second at the MAC Championships after posting a perfect 8-0 overall record and 4-0 conference record in dual meets. The Eagles graduated All-American Delaney Duncan as well as Nicole Swartz, the two swimmers who accounted for all three of Eastern Michigan's individual MAC Championships last season.
