Miami Finishes Ninth at Robert Kepler Intercollegiate

COLUMBUS, Ohio- The Miami University golf team shot a final round of 12-over par 296 on Sunday to finish at 34-over par and in ninth place at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate. Purdue, ranked 42nd in the country, won the tournament at three-under par.
Redshirt junior Brian Ohr had the top round for the RedHawks on Sunday after he notched an impressive hole-in-one on the 233-yard fifth hole to solidify his place in the standings. Ohr shot a final round of one-under par 70 to tie for 17th at five-over par overall. Patrick Flavin finished just behind Ohr, shooting a three-over par round of 74 to finish tied for 28th at eight-over par.
Sophomore Cam Solomon and freshman Jack Herceg both finished tied for 45th at 12-over par. Solomon tallied a 6-over par 77 and Herceg shot four-over par 75 in the final round of the tournament. Rounding out the Red and White, freshman Charlie Nikitas shot a final round of seven-over par 78 to finish tied for 57th at 15-over par.
Miami looks to earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament as it competes in the Mid-Ameerican Conference Championships this week. The four-round tournament begins Friday with two rounds and will be followed by single rounds on Saturday and Sunday.
