Program-High Eight RedHawks Named Academic All-MAC

OXFORD, Ohio - Miami women's basketball's success was not limited to the court this season. The Mid-American Conference announced its annual Academic All-MAC team Thursday and a league-high eight RedHawks made the list.
The eight is also a new program high. Representing Miami is Kayla Brown, Lauren Dickerson, Megan Galloway, Savannah Kluesner, Kendall McCoy, Molly McDonagh, Leah Purvis and Baleigh Reid.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. Freshmen and first-year transfers are not eligible for the honor.
