Golf Finishes Fifth at Seahawk Intercollegiate

WILMINGTON, N.C. -- A solid round allowed the Miami University golf team to finish in fifth place at the Seahawk Intercollegiate. The RedHawks shot a round of 292 as a team on Monday to finish at 21-over par for the tournament. Host school UNC-Wilmington won the event at two-under par.
Sophomore Cam Solomon had his second top-10 finish of the season when he shot a final round score of 74. He tied for ninth individually at four-over par.
Freshman Charlie Nikitas had the best round of the day for the RedHawks, shooting a one-under par 71. He finished tied for 12th at five-over par.
Redshirt junior Brian Ohr shot a final round 74 on Monday and finished tied for 23rd at seven-over par. Senior Patrick Flavin tied for 26th at nine-over par after shooting a 77. Freshman Jack Herceg had his best round of the tournament with a 73 and finished tied for 42nd at 14-over par.
Miami returns to action April 14-15 when it competes in the Boilermaker Invitational.
