RedHawks Finish in 13th at Fighting Irish Classic

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Miami University golfers finished up the Fighting Irish Classic with a final round of four-under par 280 to place 13th at seven-over par. The team champion was Illinois at 44-under par, and Steven Fisk from Georgia Southern was the individual champion finishing at 15-under par.
Sophomore Charlie Nikitas led Miami by shooting a one-under par round of 70 in the final round. Nikitas finished the tournament tied for 21st overall at three-under par. Second for the RedHawks was redshirt senior Brian Ohr who shot a 71 in the final round. This placed Ohr tied for 50th at three-over par.
Next for Miami were junior Cam Solomon, sophomore Jack Mortell, and freshman Jack Ebner. Solomon shot a 67 in the final round which was the lowest score in the final round for Miami. He ended the tournament in a tie for 61st at six-over par. Mortell shot a 72 in the third round which also placed him in a tie for 61st at six-over par. Ebner finished the tournament tied for 74th at ten-over par following a 74 in the final round.
The RedHawks return to action October 14-15 to compete at the Chatham Hills Collegiate.
