
Golf finishes in 10th at the Little Rock Invitational

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Miami University finished both the second and third round of the Little Rock Invitational on Tuesday with a 12-over par 300 in round two and a five-over par 293 in round three. Miami ended the tournament in 10th place at 28-over par. Arkansas State finished one stroke ahead of UNLV to win the team title at one-under par and Harry Hall of UNLV won the individual title at six-under par.
Freshman Jack Ebner and sophomore Charlie Nikitas ended the day Tuesday in a tie for 31st at six-over par. Ebner shot a five-over par 77 in round two and rebounded with a one-over par 73 in the final round. Nikitas finished round two with a one-over par 73 and continued to shoot an even par round of 72 in the final round. Only two strokes behind them was junior Cam Solomon at eight-over par. Solomon shot a 74 in round two and a 75 in round three to end in a tie for 38th.
Sophomore Jack Mortell shot rounds of 78 and 73 to finish in a tie for 46th at 11-over. After shooting rounds of 76 and 78, redshirt senior Brian Ohr finished tied for 63rd at 14-over par.
The RedHawks also had junior Jack Katarancic and reshirt junior JD Fletcher competing at the Musketeer Classic as individuals. Katarincic shot a three-over par 74 in round two and followed up with a one-over par 72 in round three. His strong finish put him in a tie for 14th at six-over par. Fletcher shot rounds of 81 and 85 to finish tied for 82nd at 31-over par.
This concludes fall play for the RedHawks. Miami will continue its season February 12-13, 2019 when it travels to Dade City, Florida for the annual Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play event.
