Sherman Named Assistant Director of Athletic Events and Facilities

Miami Athletics has announced that Katie Sherman has been named Assistant Director of Athletic Events and Facilities.

Sherman comes to Miami after serving as an event coordinator at the Ohio State University since August of 2017. As a Buckeye, she was the primary event manager for men's soccer, women's ice hockey, fencing and softball.

"I'm so excited for this amazing opportunity," said Sherman. "Being from the Cincinnati area, it feels great to be home and to be a part of the Miami family."

She also was a volunteer intern for OSU (2016-17), preparing facilities for events and championships.
"We're excited to have Katie join our staff," said Chase Speaks, Assistant AD for Intercollegiate Camps and Athletic Facilities Management. "Her past experience in managing a variety of events allow us to operate at a high level."

Sherman has also served as a camps associate for the Buckeyes since 2016 and worked in the Department of Recreational Sports at OSU from 2014-15.
