BERLIN - After one day of the Cup of Berlin, the Miami University senior synchronized skating program sits in second place.
The RedHawks competed in their short program on Friday and notched a clean skate to score a 55.95, their second highest score of the season to this point. MU's score went into first place with one competitor left, but the Skyliners finished the competition with a 67.14 to finish the evening in first place.
Miami returns to the ice on Saturday when it wraps up the meet with its free skate. The competition begins 6:06 p.m. local time (12:06 p.m. ET).
