RedHawks Synchronized Skating Splits Up in Big Competitions

WICHITA, Kan./GOTHENBURG, Sweden - The Miami synchronized skating divided up its travel arrangements in a pair of big competitions.
With the collegiate team in Wichita, Kansas for the Midwestern Championships, the RedHawks put together a second-place finish following a score of 73.42, their second-best mark of the year. Michigan took the sectional with a score of 87.16.
Over at the Leon Lurje Trophy in Gothenburg, Sweden, the senior team sits in third in the standings following a score of 58.18. That score marks the RedHawks' second-best in the short program this season. The Haydenettes lead the competition after scoring 73.03 while Surprise is in second after scoring 70.78.
Miami wraps up its international competition on Sunday when it performs its free skate.
