
Golf Finishes Fourth at MAC Championship

NASHPORT, Ohio ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃÆ'¢'¬" The Miami University golf team finished fourth in the Mid-American Conference Championship on Sunday after shooting a round of nine-over par 297 to finish at 33-over par for the tournament. Kent State won the MAC Championship at three-under par.
Junior Patrick Flavin finished the event by shooting a 75 on Sunday to take second place individually at six-under par. He was only two shots behind individual champion Gisli Sveinbergsson of Kent State. At the conclusion of the tournament Flavin was named First-Team All-MAC, in addition to taking home All-Tournament honors.
Redshirt sophomore Brian Ohr shot a final round 73 to finish tied for 16th at 11-over par. He was rewarded for his hard work over the season with a spot on the All-MAC Second Team.
Senior Greg Conrad had the best round of the day for any RedHawk with an even-par 72. He tied for 29th at 15-over par. Conrad closed out his career by winning the Earl Yestingsmeier Sportsmanship award. That is an honor voted on by his peers that is given to a deserving senior.
Freshman Cam Solomon finished tied for 26th at 14-over par, while redshirt freshman JD Fletcher was 43rd at 37-over par.
