After winning the long jump at last week's Miami Duals, Grant Cole was right back at it in the Crimson Tide Invitational. The senior leaped 24-2.5 to finish second ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃÆ'¢'¬" just one inch from winning it. His jump ranks fourth in the Mid-American Conference and has him in the top-40 (34th) in the region.
This is the first time this season and in his career that Cole has been named Miami's Male Athlete of the Week.
Collier posted her second-straight win to open the outdoor season by claiming the javelin at the Crimson Tide Invitational. Collier launched a personal-best 153-6, a throw that ranks second in the MAC and sits 21st in the region.
This is the first time this season and in her career that Collier has been named Miami's Female Athlete of the Week.
The next Miami Athletes of the Week will be announced on Monday, April 17.
