Dickerson capped off one of the better freshman regular seasons in program history with another solid week of play. She averaged 19.5 ppg on 50 percent shooting as Miami went 1-1. On Wednesday against Kent State, she posted 15 points and shattered Miami's record for most field goals in a single-season by a freshman, breaking Deb Grushon's 37-year-old record. Saturday at Bowling Green, Dickerson led the way in securing the No. 9 seed in the MAC Tournament for Miami with a victory over the Falcons. The Indianapolis, Ind., native posted her 10th 20-point game of the season with 24 points, 13 of which came via the charity stripe.
This is the fifth time this season and in her career that Dickerson has been named Miami's Female Athlete of the Week. She last won it for the week of Jan. 9-15.
