KETTERING, Ohio - The Miami University golf team will head to Kettering, Ohio on Monday to compete in the Dayton Flyer Invitational. The Red and White will play 54 holes in the tournament, 36 on Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday. Competing alongside Miami will be Cleveland State, Dayton (host), DePaul, Eastern Michigan, Fort Wayne, Illinois State, Northern Kentucky, Ohio, Ohio State and Wright State.
The RedHawks will be competing at the famed NCR Country Club, home of the 2005 US Senior Open and ranked 65th on Golfweek's best classic courses. The course is a par 71 and spans 7,055 yards.
"It's a great course. It can be a tough course when it comes to visualizing your target" said Head Coach Zac Zedrick. "However, we have a lot of experience with this course since we played there last year and it's somewhat close to our campus."
Zedrick will be calling upon senior Patrick Flavin, redshirt junior Brian Ohr, sophomore Cam Solomon and freshmen Jack Herceg and Charlie Nikitas. Freshman Jack Mortell will also be at the tournament, competing as an individual.
