WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. ââ'¬" The Miami University golf team shot a final round of 15-over par 303 on Sunday to finish at 26-over par and in 10th place at the Boilermaker Invitational. Illinois, the second ranked team in the country, won the event at 17-under par.
Sophomore Patrick Flavin had the top round for the RedHawks on Sunday, shooting a one-over par 73. He was Miami's top finisher for the fifth consecutive tournament, finishing the event tied for 23rd at three-over par.
Redshirt freshman Brian Ohr recorded a 75 in his final round, while junior Greg Conrad shot a 77. Each finished tied for 38th at seven-over par.
Senior Jack Sparling shot a 78 on Sunday to tie for 54th at 10-over par. Senior Daniel Schwarz finished with a 79 to tie for 68th at 15-over par.
Playing as an individual, senior Bud Radis shot a final round 82 and tied for 76th at 19-over par.
Miami returns to action in a couple weeks as it looks to defend its Mid-American Conference Championship April 28-30 at the Highland Meadows Golf Club in Sylvania, Ohio.
