MU Drops Midweek Matchup Against Marshall

OXFORD, Ohio – The RedHawks (4-21, 2-4 MAC) fell to Marshall, 16-3 Wednesday night, in their second midweek game in as many days.
Miami scored their first runs of the game in the bottom half of the fourth. A Spencer Dull single allowed Jake Romano to score. The next at-bat, Ryan Elble singled to right field, scoring Johnson.
The RedHawks' only other run came in the bottom of the fifth. Johnson hit a deep fly ball to right field, which resulted in a sac fly and a run as Jacob Wolf was able to tag up and score.
The RedHawks return to action this weekend as they travel to Bowling Green for their second road conference series of the season. A preview of this weekend's games will be on MURedHawks.com tomorrow afternoon.
