Cheerleader Tryouts Set for April 12

OXFORD, Ohio—Miami University Cheerleading will be holding tryouts for the 2015-16 season on Sunday, April 12 in the Millett Hall Practice Gymnasium and is seeking both male and female team members who embody the Miami University motto of "Love and Honor."
In addition to current Miami students who will continue to be enrolled next year, incoming freshmen who have been accepted to Miami University for the 2015-16 academic year are eligible to tryout.
Those wishing to tryout need to complete waiver and health history forms, bring a copy of a physical form that has been completed within the last six months and provide a 4x6 headshot in the tryout uniform. There also is a $40 fee in order to tryout. (Additional Tryout Information)

Miami Cheerleading Rules & Policies
Requirements Females - Tumbling: Standing back handspring, standing back tuck (encouraged), and at least a running round-off, back handspring, back tuck. The more tumbling skills, the better! Stunting: Hands, extension, lib, stretch, walk-in, spin-down, chair, however, more is encouraged! Females not suited for flyer positions may secure their spot by demonstrating their ability to two-man base with a male team member! Males - No tumbling/stunting experience is required, but athleticism is a MUST! A great, outgoing personality will go a long way! Attire Females - Black spandex, red, white, or black sports bra. Game Day hair and makeup, crew socks, cheer shoes. Males - Miami gear and athletic gym shoes!
