Several Activities at Doubleheader Saturday

OXFORD, Ohio – This weekend’s basketball doubleheader has been designated Youth Day with several activities going on around Millett Hall in addition to the games. The Miami University women’s basketball team takes on Western Michigan at 1 p.m., while the men’s basketball team will take on Ball State at 3:30 p.m.
Prior to the women’s game, the annual KidsFest will take place on the concourse. This family friendly event kicks off at noon with a free sports clinic from a variety of Miami varsity and club teams. Teams currently scheduled to participate are volleyball, soccer, golf, football, baseball, field hockey, rugby, the juggling club, the dance team and the Miami ROTC. Kids will have the opportunity to interact with student athletes and club members and engage in different activities.
At halftime of each game, the popular Crosby “Pop Cycle” Unicycle Team will perform. Made of kids from Crosby Elementary School in Harrison, Ohio, they perform at various college and high school events all throughout the Cincinnati area.
In addition between the games of the doubleheader there will be the “Carnival on the Concourse” set up with family friendly activities.
