PHILADELPHIA - Miami University junior Jarrod Eick ran the 5000m run Thursday night at the prestigious Penn Relays as the lone RedHawk representative at the meet, held at historic Franklin Field.
Eick (Hartville, Ohio) clocked 14:22.76 to place 17th out of 30 runners. He ran a personal-best 14:19.85 earlier this year at the Nikoloff Invitational. Indiana's Zachary Mayhew won in 13:53.94.
The rest of Miami's men's track and field team will compete Saturday at its own RedHawk Invitational at George Rider. The meet is the third and final home meet of the year for the RedHawks.
