WOMEN'S TENNIS
Last Week: Miami swept all nine matches from Ball State, earning its fourth straight Mid-American Conference regular-season championship with a 7-0 win over the Cardinals. The win, the 33rd straight in league play for the RedHawks, gave the senior class (Stephanie Danesis, Riekie Honiball and Jessica Parr) a perfect 32-0 conference mark during their careers. (RECAP) This Week: Miami tries for a third MAC tournament championship in four years this week when it competes April 27-29 in DeKalb, Ill. The RedHawks will face the winner of Thursday's first-round match at 10 a.m. Friday.
WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD
Last Week: Four RedHawks picked up individual victories Saturday to lead Miami to a second-place finish on day two at the All-Ohio Championships, held at the RedHawks' own George Rider Track, while a school-record relay was also clocked. Redshirt sophomore Ashley Zaper captured the heptathlon, her first time competing in the seven-event competition, as she totaled 4,876 points. Senior Rachael Clay won the 400m dash in 54.60, while classmate Diona Graves also earned first in the 100m dash in 12.02. Clay, Graves, freshman Charlotte Myers and sophomore Leah Coleman combined to earn runner-up in the 4x400m relay, smashing the school record by nearly two seconds with a time of 3:40.90. Freshman Jess Hoover just edged out junior Monica Fischer at the finish for the top two spots in the 1500m in personal bests of 4:35.66 and 4:35.67, respectively. (DAY TWO RECAP) (DAY ONE RECAP) This Week: Most of the RedHawks remain at home this weekend as Miami hosts the RedHawk Invitational Saturday, April 28 at George Rider Track in the third and final home meet of the year, while select RedHawks will head to Des Moines, Iowa for the prestigious Drake Relays from Thursday to Saturday.

MEN'S TRACK & FIELD
Last Week: Senior Jordan Goffena won the decathlon and sophomore Jahquil Hargrove captured a pair of races to lead Miami to a third-place finish Saturday at the All-Ohio Championships, held at chilly George Rider Track. Goffena took first in the 10-event competition with a personal-best score of 7,314. Hargrove finished first in both the 400m dash by a nose in 47.23 and in the 200m dash in 21.77. (DAY TWO RECAP) (DAY ONE RECAP) For the second time in three weeks, junior Jarrod Eick was named Mid-American Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week. Eick ran a strong 1500m two weekends ago at the Jesse Owens Classic, hosted by Ohio State, as he clocked a personal-best 3:46.32. (RELEASE) This Week: The RedHawks remain at home this weekend as Miami hosts the RedHawk Invitational Saturday, April 28 at George Rider Track in the third and final home meet of the year. Eick will also run at the prestigious Penn Relays on Thursday, April 26 in the 5000m run.

SOFTBALL
Last Week: Miami (28-16; 9-5 MAC) managed 11 hits against Eastern Kentucky but was only able to push one run across in a 2-1, 10-inning loss to the Colonels on Tuesday. (RECAP) Head coach Kelly Kovach Schoenly became Miami's all-time winningest softball coach as the RedHawks split a doubleheader with Central Michigan on Friday. Miami won the first game, 4-0, to give Schoenly her 173rd career win. The Chippewas came back to earn a victory in the second game, 2-0. (RECAP) The RedHawks cruised to an 8-0 victory over Eastern Michigan on Saturday. The game ended after six innings due to the run-rule. (RECAP) Miami scored eight runs in the first inning and never looked back in a 10-0 win over Eastern Michigan on Sunday. The game ended after five innings due to the run rule. (RECAP) This Week: The RedHawks hit the road for four games this weekend, starting with a 1 p.m. doubleheader at Buffalo on Friday and followed by single games at Kent State on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
BASEBALL
Last Week: Kevin Bower drove in three runs, including two during a six-run seventh inning, as Miami (20-20; 6-9 MAC) powered past Dayton 13-8 Wednesday night at McKie Field. (RECAP) Three Bowling Green pitchers held Miami to just five hits, while the Falcons' top four hitters combined for eight hits and five runs batted in, leading the visitors to a 7-2 victory over the RedHawks Friday night in Oxford. (RECAP) Senior left-hander Shawn Marquardt struck out six over eight innings and Scott Slappey drove in three runs with a double and sacrifice fly, leading Miami to a 7-0 victory over Bowling Green Saturday afternoon. The shutout was the RedHawks' third of the season. (RECAP) Miami starter Mac Thoreson pitched seven strong innings, allowing two runs on nine hits, lifting Miami to a 5-2 victory over Bowling Green Sunday afternoon. (RECAP) This Week: Miami travels to Indiana for a 4 p.m. game on Tuesday before hosting the Hoosiers at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Miami then hits the road for a three-game series at Buffalo this weekend.
MEN'S GOLF
Last Week: Miami finished in 15th place at the Boilermaker Invitational last weekend. Ben Peacock was the RedHawks top overall finisher, tying for 41st at 14-over par. (RECAP) This Week: Miami is idle until the MAC Championships May 4-6.
Last week, the Mid-American Conference announced its Women's Basketball Academic All-MAC teams. Earning a spot on the team for the first time in her career was junior guard Courtney Osborn. Senior guard Rachael Hencke and sophomore guard Hannah Robertson each were named honorable mention. (RELEASE)
Football holds its annual Red & White Spring Game at noon Saturday, April 28 at Yager Stadium.
