Softball Goes to Annual Bras Across Bridge Fundraiser

NEWPORT, Ky. - For the third consecutive year, the Miami University softball team participated in the annual Bras Across the Bridge charity event Friday to raise funds awareness for the Susan G. Komen Quest for the Cure. During the event the participants raised strung bras together and raised them across the entire length of the Purple People Bridge. The event was sponsored by WKRQ 101.9's "Jeff and Jenn" morning radio program as well as Newport on the Levee. Miami will continue its fall exhibition season next weekend when it travels to Eastern Kentucky for a doubleheader on Oct. 1. The RedHawks will host a Red-and-White intersquad series of games at the Miami Softball Stadium Oct. 8-9.
