The Miami penalty kill was a successful 6-6 Friday, improving the overall percentage to 88.8% (166/187) for the season, which is second nationally, and 38 of 39 dating back to the February 4-5 Michigan series.
In the past three games, Miami has scored nine third period goals after averaging just over one in the third period over the first 32 games (34 goals in the third period in the first 32 games).
