As the 2011 calendar comes to a close, MURedHawks.com wants to take this opportunity to reminisce on some of the recent highlights.
The Athletic Communications staff recently sat down to compile a Top 10 listing of the biggest news stories for Miami Athletics. It was no easy decision, but we think we hit the mark on a great year.

Collegiate Team Wins Seventh Straight National Title
ONTARIO, Calif.-- Miami's Synchronized Skating team continued its domination at the collegiate level, winning its seventh straight national title -- and 13th overall -- on March 5.
Behind a score of 96.16, the RedHawks made history, as no synchronized skating team at any level had ever seized seven straight national titles.
Skating their program to a Brazilian Carnival theme, Miami easily surpassed its competition, winning the national crown by an 11-point margin among a 12-team field. the RedHawks had a clean skate with no deductions and posted a total element score of 47.13 and a program component score of 49.13. It was the second straight competition where Miami has won by a double-figure margin.
