Miami came out strong right out of the gate, as layups from Osborn and Kirsten Olowinski, along with a three-pointer from Maggie Boyer put the RedHawks in front 7-2. After a Wright State bucket, an Olowinski three-pointer sparked a 7-0 run that put Miami up, 14-4. Miami's shot would go cold for the rest of the period, as the Raiders were able to slowly get back into the game. Despite layups from Osborn and Simon, a 21-8 run over the next nine minutes would tie the game at 27 with 2:22 to go. Osborn would hit a jumper with two minutes remaining to put the RedHawks back in front, but a three-pointer from Kayla Lamotte gave Wright State its first lead of the game. A bucket by Sarah Hunter with 30 seconds to go would send the Raiders into the break in front, 32-29.

Wright State would respond with an 11-2 run to take the advantage back at 43-42 with 12:38 remaining, but Osborn would hit a three-pointer about a minute later to put Miami right back in front. The Red and White would not trail again in this game.
A three-point play from Olowinski, another three-pointer from Osborn and a layup by Simon off a great pass from Osborn would help Miami extend the lead to 12 at 60-48 at the 5:41 mark. Wright State would go on a 7-2 run to pull with seven, but the RedHawks would hit all of their free throws down the stretch to secure the 70-63 win.
